Authors pay at submission — automatically invoiced
When a journal has APC enabled, authors are shown the fee and complete payment via Stripe Checkout before the submission is finalised. Payment status is tracked on the submission record. Waiver requests go through a structured approval flow.
- APC amount and currency configured per journal (any Stripe-supported currency)
- Stripe Checkout payment — author redirected back to submission on completion
- Payment states: pending, paid, waived, refunded
- Waiver request form: author submits reason; editor approves or declines
